These recipes for Healthy Five Minute Breakfasts can be made from start to finish in 5 minutes or less. They’re perfect for busy mornings when you need to eat in a hurry.
Hi Friends-
So, as I’ve mentioned several times, the need to eat soon after waking runs in our family. I tend to prefer eating breakfast before I even sit down at my computer but Squish takes it to a whole new level. He starts asking for breakfast while he’s still on the changing table getting his first clean diaper of the day. ie before we even make it downstairs. And if breakfast isn’t in his hands pretty much immediately, screaming ensues.
We’re working on patience but we just haven’t quite mastered it yet at 19 months! I try to make the mornings go more smoothly by having breakfast prepped and ready ahead of time, but there are some mornings when that just doesn’t happen. On those days, I need something fast. Like something I can make from start to finish in under 5 minutesto prevent a total meltdown.
I have a few of my favorite go-to recipes for days like this, but it’s always good to have more in your arsenal, right?? So I rounded up several ideas from my fellow bloggers. These are not make-ahead recipes. These are recipes for the mornings when you failed to plan ahead and you need breakfast ready in 5 minutes before you run out the door (or before your toddler lets out a series of ear-piercing screams).

I’ve never been able to wait more than 5-10 minutes for breakfast. It’s my least favorite meal to eat at a restaurant for that reason- I need food right when waking up!

Haha – I don’t think my gal had patience mastered much when she was 19 months – sometimes she still struggles with it and she is 17 now! 🙂
Lindsay, these are quite a delicious bunch of quick and easy breakfasts – breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, though somedays a fast one is the only one I can manage!Reply

This is great Lindsay! Always appreciate 5 minute recipes. We stick w the same basic stuff for breakfast on a daily basis, but I think my kids would really enjoy a change up!

Hi Lindsay! Thanks for these healthy and delicious breakfast ideas. For the past several months I’ve been munching on a fruit and an egg for breakfast. Healthy, yes, but not exactly very interesting. Now, let me try that sumptuous-looking blueberry parfait!

I don’t even have a toddler, but I so often am too tired at night or I procrastinate too much to make a breakfast for the morning. These will come in super handy.

For someone who NEVER has time in the morning to be “crafty” in the kitchen or make a nice, photographable bowl for insta…these breakfasts are RIGHT up my ally 🙂 Love them Lindsay!

LOL! I totally understand the need to feed the babies right away! Mine toddle down the stairs ready to eat asap! 😉 Patience will come in time…but for your pregnant momma sanity there’s no shame in feeding that boy on the changing table! We do what we can! 😉
