The Flight Attendant (HBO Max) -- S: Kaley Cuoco -- Premieres 11/26/20

https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...b97db0e813.jpg

HBO Max has slotted Thursday, November 26 for the premiere of The Flight Attendant, starring and produced by Kaley Cuoco. The streaming service also unveiled the key art, featuring Cuoco, with the tagline “A Deadly Mystery With A Turbulent Descent”. You can see it below the story.

The Flight Attendant is among shows whose production was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It resumed production in New York this fall after shutting down in March.

Based on Chris Bohjalian’s novel of the same name, the series stars Cuoco as Cassie, a flight attendant who wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man. Michiel Huisman, Rosie Perez, Zosia Mamet, Michelle Gomez, T.R. Knight, Colin Woodell, Merle Dandridge, Griffin Matthews and Nolan Gerard Funk also star.

The eight-episode limited series is produced by Warner Horizon Scripted Television, Berlanti Productions & Cuoco’s Yes, Norman Productions. Greg Berlanti, Kaley Cuoco, Steve Yockey, Marcie Ulin, Meredith Lavender and Sarah Schechter serve as executive producers, and Suzanne McCormack is Co-Executive Producer. Susanna Fogel directs and executive produces the first two episodes.

This is an 8 episode drama series.

The trailer will be released Tuesday. Whoever sees the trailer 1st, feel free to post it.

The premise does sound interesting.

I know this series is over a month away, but just putting on some of your radars since a lot of new content gets missed here.

Interesting cast. I'm not sure if Cuoco has the acting chops to lead a drama series, but kudos if she can pull it off.

I love her as Harley Quinn so I'd give this dramatic piece a shot. Now, if only Roku and HBOMax can work their sh*t out so I won't have to watch this on my HBOMax phone app..

Re: The Flight Attendant (HBO Max) -- S: Kaley Cuoco -- Premieres 11/26/20

Also, I'm finding that I'm really getting a appetite for limited series. No more than 10 eps with an ending is appealing. I think this appetite is from me watching British TV on PBS back in the day.

Trailer

It looks interesting. But, it also gives the vibe that it has some quirkiness to it.

I'll check it out if there's ever a Roku App. I don't like watching series like this in my bedroom on my PS4.

Seems like it is going for a bit of A Simple Favor vibe.

I will watch it.

Re: The Flight Attendant (HBO Max) -- S: Kaley Cuoco -- Premieres 11/26/20

I watched the first two and so far so good. This was a great choice for Cuoco to follow up with after a long run of sitcoms.

Re: The Flight Attendant (HBO Max) -- S: Kaley Cuoco -- Premieres 11/26/20

I watched all 3 episodes today. I like that it's not 100% serious murder mystery and that it incorporates some dark humor.

Cuoco is really good in this, but her character Cassie is a walking train wreck. It's the basis of her background, which they show in flashbacks. The character is basically a functioning alcoholic. There are some scenes that make you roll your eyes at how stupid she is for doing that. I was never a big fan of Zosia Mamet. I thought she was annoying in Girls. But, I do like her here as the best friend and lawyer.

I loved that the opening scenes took place and were filmed in Thailand. It added some exotic feel to it.

Through 3 episodes, they are kind of leading you in a direction on who the killer may be, but then again there's still 5 more hours to go, so anything is possible.

I watched the first episode so far and thought it was pretty decent, looking forward to seeing where the story goes.

Might give it a try eventually. Although my girlfriend says we have too many shows going right now. :lol.

Sounds like it might be a fun premise though and I like Kaley Cuoco.

She isn't Penny when she does Harley Quinn, either.

Yeah, but that’s animated. We know she has a filthy mouth, but now we know she has an even more filthy lifestyle and a body to prove it, you know not animated.

My point is she's not trying to be Penny in everything she does outside of that one show.

It'll be edited to death. Best to stick to the first episode they put on YouTube.

I know that. I was really just making a sarcastic joke...

Re: The Flight Attendant (HBO Max) -- S: Kaley Cuoco -- Premieres 11/26/20

Watched the first 3 episodes and this really feels like only a network TV show with swearing added.

It's just passable.
Cassie does one stupid thing after another. I'm not liking the "conversations" she has with Alex. It's done right in Dexter when he "talks" to his dad, but in this it doesn't make a lot of sense.
Also convenient that she magically remembers details of her drunken night just as she needs to remember them.

Big stretch for Kaley - playing a chick who drinks and sleeps around a lot.

Re: The Flight Attendant (HBO Max) -- S: Kaley Cuoco -- Premieres 11/26/20

I liked the first three episodes and will keep watching. I assumed it was a straight comedy so I was surprised when the big event happened before the opening credits set the mood. Granted I’ve seen the “falsely accused and trying to clear one’s name” thing many times, but we’ll see how it progresses.

I’ve watched very little BBT so I’m not invested in Cuoco’s character from that.

I like the best friend lawyer. She has kind of a Lacey Chabert (Hallmark) vibe.

Re: The Flight Attendant (HBO Max) -- S: Kaley Cuoco -- Premieres 11/26/20

Just started this with the wife. I knew the premise. She didn't. After the wake up scene with the dead body, my wife was like "what the f*ck is this?"

Pretty sure she thought this would be a comedy show. Oops!

Re: The Flight Attendant (HBO Max) -- S: Kaley Cuoco -- Premieres 11/26/20

I watched the first episode. It was all right, but I'm still debating whether to watch any more. I'll admit that I've sort of liked not having so many shows on at once, so I'm trying to be more selective about adding new series.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 09:20 AM.
